Video is a little dark but it is pretty obvious that Molly loves her new toy.

Sleigh Ride
Molly and I took advantage of the milder weather today in order to try out her new sled. We both loved it and are hoping for some fresh powder over the next few days to cover over all the icy snow.

Shriek!
Being this was Molly's first Christmas she obviously did not know everything that was in store for her. Some presents she was more interested in just the paper or the box but a few times she really got excited and would let out a big shriek such was when she opened her cabbage patch doll.

Molly thinks counting is a big joke
Molly thinks that counting is a big joke right now....especially when one gets into double digits. I guess when you are only 9 months old, big numbers must seem preposterous! Check out the you tube video here.

Let it snow!
Molly checking out her first snowfall and can't wait till she is old enough to go camping in it. We got about 4 inches or so in the greater Carlisle area.
Sneek Peek
Molly got a sneek peek of Christmas when her cousins brought her up a gift on their visit from Long Island over Thanksgiving.

Molly on the move
Molly does not like to sit still anymore. She is really close to crawling as she can get up on all fours and rock back and forth. This typically results in a faceplant but by rolling and creeping she gets where she wants to go. She seems way more intent on walking though and has become an expert in her walker.
Here is a video of her working off her dinner in her "exer-saucer"
And....Motoring along in her Walker.

Go Teams!
We had a football Sunday with the Spencer's today. Molly and Madison did their best to help root on their Dad's respective teams but unfortunately even that was not enough for either of them to win.

Scootin'
Let the baby proofing begin! Molly has recently "discovered" that she can scoot across the floor, mostly in the backwards direction. Between that and rolling she can pretty much get where she wants to go.

Chimney Mtn
This past weekend I went on an overnight camping trip with some friends to Chimney Mtn which is near Indian Lake. Skip, Len, Sparky, Pete and Chad joined me as we first hiked up Chimney Mtn for some great views then trekked over to Puffer Pond to stay overnight. Started out with an inch or so of snow on the ground Saturday but the day grew nicer as it went along. We awoke Sunday to perfect blue skies for our return hike.

Gearing up for Halloween
Molly smirks because she knows that one day she will get back at us for making her wear this ridiculous hat.
She was also having some good laughs over the blanket being pulled over her head which you can see in this video

Kibby Pond
This past weekend Natalie and I went on an overnight camping trip to Kibby Pond which is just north of the town of Wells on Route 8. Weather was overcast and in the upper 40s near 50 when we set out on the 1.9 mile hike. After a stream crossing which rivaled a challenge on Survivor we were off. The trail starts out by gaining near 600 feet in elevation but our little backpacking companions only required one real break on the way in. Natalie and Scout each carried their own packs as well. The campsite by the pond was large enough for our three tents along with a fire pit. We hung around camp, drank hot cocoa, cooked dinner then sat around the fire gazing at the stars until we all turned in around 8:30 pm. We fell asleep to the sounds of owls and geese flying overhead. We awoke shortly after 7am, ate a small breakfast, packed up and hiked back out. Good times had by all. I got home shortly after noon. Natalie collapsed by the wood stove where she pretty much remained the rest of the day. I figure she does at least double the mileage of the rest of us with all the running ahead and back she does.
